Professor Shi Yigong Elected Foreign Associate of the National Academy of Sciences in America
The National Academy of Sciences (NAS) in the United States announced on April 30th the election of 84 new members and 21 foreign associates from 14 countries in recognition of their distinguished and continuing achievements in original research. Professor Shi Yigong, Dean of the School of Life Sciences at Tsinghua Univeristy, was elected as a foreign associate member of the NAS. Professor Shi was also elected as an honorary foreign member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, on April 25th.
