Portuguese Minister of Education and Science Visits Tsinghua

Portugal’s Minister of Education and Science, Nuno Crato, visited Tsinghua University on February 26th. Tsinghua University Vice President, Xie Weihe, held discussions with Mr. Crato, during his visit.

While meeting with Mr. Crato, Vice President Xie briefly introduced Tsinghua’s history, educational work, research efforts, and efforts with respect to international cooperation. The two discussed the hope that more collaboration between Tsinghua University and Portuguese institutes and universities could be established in the coming years, especially in regards to areas such as research and student exchange.

After meeting with President Xie, Mr. Crato visited the Tsinghua-Foxconn Nanotechnology Research Center, located on campus.
