Ministry of Education Appoints Professor Jiang Shengyao as Tsinghua Vice President
The Ministry of Education has appointed Professor Jiang Shengyao as Tsinghua Vice President.

Professor Jiang Shengyao was born in 1959. He received his bachelor's degree in thermal engineering at Tsinghua University in 1984, master's degree from Tsinghua’s Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology in 1987, and then became a faculty member at Tsinghua the same year. He got his PhD from the University of Stuttgart, Germany in 1995 and became Vice Chairperson of the Institute Of Nuclear and New Energy Technology, Tsinghua University in 1999. Professor Jiang was appointed as Vice Chair of the Institute Of Nuclear and New Energy Technology, Tsinghua University in 2005. He served as Director of Human Resources of Tsinghua in 2006. He was appointed as President Assistant of Tsinghua University in April of 2012. He was awarded a grant from the Distinguished Young Scholar Fund by the National Science Foundation of China in 2003.
