President Davis of the University of Melbourne Visits

Professor Glyn Davis, Vice-Chancellor & President of the University of Melbourne, visited Tsinghua University on October 24. Tsinghua University President Gu Binglin had a talk with Professor Davis, exchanging ideas on further promoting cooperation between Tsinghua and the University of Melbourne. Professor Susan Elliott, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Melbourne, accompanied Professor Davis on his visit.

During their talk, President Gu noted that the University of Melbourne is one of the major partners of Tsinghua in Australia. In the past years, the two universities have enjoyed fruitful collaboration including faculty exchange, staff exchange, student exchange, and University Day. Professor Davis said that he hoped cooperation between the two universities could be further promoted in the near future.

They also exchanged ideas on the Melbourne Model, student cultivation, foreign students’ education and international cooperation.
